Reggio Calabria, 17 October 2025
FrecciaRosa travels also on Calabria trains.
On Monday 20 October, two Trenitalia Regionale trains (FS Group) will be involved in the initiative: train R 5562 departing from Cosenza at 12:28 pm and bound for Lamezia Terme (1:35 pm), and train R 5564 departing from Lamezia Terme Centrale at 2:40 pm and reaching Cosenza at 3:42 pm. The trains will stop also in Castiglione Cosentino, Paola and Amantea.
On board the trains, volunteers from Fondazione IncontraDonna and doctors members of the Italian Association of Medical Oncology (AIOM) will provide free advice and distribute information material, including the 'Health Vademecum', drawn up in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. This ABC of prevention contains healthy lifestyle advice useful to the entire population, both travelling and not, and its digital version can be downloaded in Italian and English.
In addition, this year, remote consultations to receive medical clarifications, suggestions and indications may also be booked on the 'Frecciarosa.it' platform, with necessary follow up in a SSN (National Healthcare System) facility.
FrecciaRosa is the breast cancer prevention campaign promoted by Fondazione IncontraDonna and FS Group, which, for the entire month of October, will provide consultations on board High-speed, Intercity and Regionale trains.
The event, which has become a moment of great social and health value over time, is supported by the Ministry of Health and the Prime Minister's Office and, for the third year running, has been awarded the prestigious Medal of the President of the Republic.
In the last edition, the project reached 42 million passengers, with 1,500 services provided, 46 trains, over 100 doctors and volunteers involved and 22,708 copies of the 'Health Vademecum' distributed.
The FS Group, sensitive to initiatives in the health field, wished to renew its support to the FrecciaRosa project, by offering citizens and travellers a service to protect their health, in the awareness that a real fight against oncological diseases and breast cancer in particular can only pass through correct information and systematic prevention.
